Description of the Institution
Founded in 1985 and formally constituted by Charter in 1987, the Coimbra Group is an association of long-established European multidisciplinary universities of high international standard committed to creating special academic and cultural ties in order to promote, for the benefit of its members, internationalisation, academic collaboration, excellence in learning and research, and service to society. It is also the purpose of the Coimbra Group to influence European education policy and to develop best practice through the mutual exchange of experience.The Coimbra Group was among the earliest associations to develop fully-fledged Erasmus Programme activities, and has decades of experience in the exchange of researchers, teachers and students. The Coimbra Group participates in a number of EU-funded projects within the framework of e-learning and virtual mobility.
Role of the Institution in the Project
The involvement of the Coimbra Group is particularly relevant for what concern the valorisation plan of the project.
It will be involved in the following activities:
- participation of an administrative officer of the Coimbra Group Office in the Management Team and in the Core Groups (in all the WPs);
- consultation with Coimbra Group members on results from the activities of the Core Group in WP 3
- organisation of the final European Seminar (WP6)
- involvement in dissemination activities (WP7)
As for the other partners it will actively participate in internal evaluation and monitoring activities and furthermore it will forward the request for feedbacks on the ongoing products delivered by the Consortium to members of the Coimbra Group Task Forces not directly involved in the project in order to grant an external point of view on the overall evaluation.
